Surviving the Psy-Ops War

There is no spoon, its a a psy-ops war

There are so many people that fall victim to U.S. Government/Mainstream Media Psychological Operations meant to "influence populations by expressing information subjectively to influence attitudes and behavior, and obtain compliance, noninterference or other desired behavioral changes."

The purpose of this article is to outline two main reasons why these Psy-Ops are successful with a MAJORITY of people.

For that I give you two exhibits, that empirically demonstrate the behaviors of a majority of people.

Exhibit A: The Asch Experiment

This experiment was conducted to determine whether an individual would yield to or defy a majority group and the effect of such influences on beliefs and opinions.  "Overall, 75% of participants gave at least one incorrect answer out of the 12 critical trials.

"That intelligent, well-meaning, young people are willing to call white black is a matter of concern."

So you see, people would rather be part of the collective, than to be correct in their own thoughts.

My own thoughts are more in line with this meme:

not-giving-a-fuck

Exhibit B: The Milgram Experiment

The Milgram experiment studies individual's obedience to authority figures.

In this experiment, Participants were led to believe that they were assisting an experiment, in which they had to administer electric shocks to a "learner". These fake electric shocks gradually increased to levels that would have been fatal had they been real.

"In Milgram's first set of experiments, 65 percent (26 of 40) of experiment participants administered the experiment's final massive 450-volt shock, and all administered shocks of at least 300 volts. Subjects were uncomfortable doing so, and displayed varying degrees of tension and stress. These signs included sweating, trembling, stuttering, biting their lips, groaning, and digging their fingernails into their skin, and some were even having nervous laughing fits or seizures."

"Ordinary people, simply doing their jobs, and without any particular hostility on their part, can become agents in a terrible destructive process. Moreover, even when the destructive effects of their work become patently clear, and they are asked to carry out actions incompatible with fundamental standards of morality, relatively few people have the resources needed to resist authority."

So you see, the vast majority of people will lie to themselves to be part of a social group, and will follow the directions of authority figures, even though they knew it was morally wrong.

As the character Morpheus said in the movie:

"The Matrix is a system, Neo. That system is our enemy. But when you're inside, you look around, what do you see? Businessmen, teachers, lawyers, carpenters. The very minds of the people we are trying to save. But until we do, these people are still a part of that system and that makes them our enemy. You have to understand, most of these people are not ready to be unplugged. And many of them are so inert, so hopelessly dependent on the system that they will fight to protect it."

Never underestimate your enemy.

I told you so
